Halifax Coordinated Access Manual

Through a Coordinated Access System (CAS) individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or are at-risk of homelessness are directed to access points where trained workers use a common assessment tool to evaluate the individual or family’s depth of need, prioritize them for housing support services and then help to match them to available housing. The Halifax CAS is designed to organize the community level response to homelessness in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Policy manual currently under revision. If you have any questions, please contact Melanie Deveaux
