Building-Based Environmental Benefits

The project incorporates several sustainability-focused infrastructure elements, including:

Lower utility consumption and lower long-term operating emissions

Significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, keeping an estimated 9,750 tonnes of carbon out of the atmosphere annually

These features make the building one of the most environmentally responsible developments in the region.

In addition to the net-zero design, the project includes measures to safegaurd the local environment and maintain neighbourhood character:

  • Minimal tree removal to preserve the natural landscape​

  • Strategic use of existing and new vegetation

​

  • Landscaped buffers bordering Sackville, Lumberman, and Canting Drives

  • Preservation and enhancement of the informal walking trail to become an official community pathway
