Our Properties
Our properties range from supportive to mixed-market housing across Nova Scotia.
True North
Our two buildings located in Dartmouth consist of 44-units collectively, with thirteen 1-bedrooms, Fifteen 2-bedrooms, 14 3-bedrooms, and two 4-bedroom units. Our mixed-market apartment buildings are built to net-zero energy ready standards, providing sustainable solutions in the community. True North consists of clean, bright, and modern units that are walking distance from a nearby school, parks, Albro lake, and bus terminal.
Shannon's Place
In partnership with Coverdale Justice Society, we have developed a 4-bedroom housing facility located in the south end of Halifax that provides services dedicated to creating a restorative community for women and gender diverse individuals. Located near multiple parks and in a safe, inclusive neighbourhood, we provide support and services to those in need.
Shaw
Located in Yarmouth, NS, this is a 2-building, 24-unit, mixed-market development by AHANS. Built to net-zero standards, these homes are built using modular technology to effectively lower our carbon footprint and bring long-lasting solutions to the community.
James
The former “Sunset Terrace” located in Yarmouth has undergone extensive renovations and is now 12 new mixed-market units. The building has undergone a deep energy retrofit which has effectively cut operating costs, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy use.
Caitlin's Place
In partnership with Coverdale Justice Society, we have developed a 15-bedroom supportive housing facility designed for women and gender diverse individuals who are experiencing homelessness. This program ensures that everyone who enters the doors is treated with respect and compassion. Located in the South End of Halifax, nearby resources and local park trails are easily accessible.
Yorkshire
Partnering with North End Community Health Centre, We have developed a 63 unit peer- supportive housing project. Located in Dartmouth, this development consists of 1-bedroom studio units with beautiful views of Halifax Harbour, and a short walk to local park trails.
Kencrest
With our partner Phoenix Youth Group, we provide a collective of six 2-unit bedrooms between two buildings for both youth and young families who are facing housing insecurity. Located on a bus route, across from a park along with walking distance to a school, we are empowering youth for long-term success. Ensuring that resources, guidance, and skills in clean and bright environments.
Burke
This six 1-bedroom building is located within the urban core of Dartmouth and has easy access to all amenities and bus routes. Conveniently located between the two bridges in Dartmouth’s North End, offering easy access to Downtown Dartmouth, Halifax or Burnside and a short walk to Albro Beach, parks, and a school nearby.
Honour House
Partnering with Coverdale Society, this development consists of four 3-bedroom units that supports female and gender diverse youth that are at-risk or experiencing homelessness. In the south end of Halifax, the honour house is located near walking trails, both universities, high schools, and bus access.
Pinecrest
This property has twelve 1-bedroom units and is located within walking distance of all amenities. Albro lake is a close walk nearby, with beaches, and parks as well. These units have included parking and are located directly across the street from a bus stop, with trail access next door.
