A new six-storey rental unit community coming to Sackville, offering a mix of affordable and market housing in a thoughtfully designed, environmentally responsible building. The development brings new housing options to the community while acknowledging local history, natural features, and neighbourhood character.
Sackville Development Overview
The proposed project introduces a six-storey rental building containing 81 units, including a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.
Using the topography of the site, the proposed building is concealed from Sackville Drive
The building is positioned in the northwest corner of an 11-acre site, allowing most of the property's natural landscape - including wetlands and vegetation—to remain undisturbed.

The development is located within the historic Black community of Maroon Hill, near the former Maroon Hill School. AHANS recognizes the importance of this heritage and is undertaking a community engagement process to understand how the project can help commemorate Maroon Hill and honour its descendants through design, programming, and public recognition.
